I like that a lot for walking thru a city or even light hiking in the countryside or oceanside, where you can quickly and easily pull the camera from the case. I took it to a friend, you sews as a hobby, and he cut the belt loop and added a velcro patch.Ī nice feature of both the Ripoff and the Lowepro, but not the Amazon, is that the case cover can be left open with the camera still quite secure inside the case. The only negative, for me, is the extra battery pouch, and the fact that it has a belt loop rather than a belt clip. I've not tried the Ripoff yet, but so far, this one is the smallest I've found: So far it looks like the ripoff is the smallest? I'm looking for the absolute smallest and thinnest case I can attach to my belt. Hi, could you post a photo of the flashpoint with the camera. Other places that you can buy this and other Packsafe products are here: I wouldn't sell it for anything, and it's built to last for a lifetime of cameras use. Personally, I would not want another camera case than this one, after owning it even just for a short while. The case has MANY security features that you can read about above. The zipper's are all covered with sewn material, so as not to scratch. Also there is a larger external zippered pocket on the front. It has internal pockets, with Velcro type flaps for secure storage, and it has internal zippered pockets. The inside material is soft, and will not scratch the camera body or accessories. It was more expensive back then, when I made a purchase from Amazon, for around $80 or so, but let me say "well worth it." It is just perfect though for the G1X stand-alone, with its accessories, and will work nicely for the other cameras I mentioned. It can even (snuggly) additionally hold my Canon SD880 camera at the same time, with its charger and spare battery, although that's a tight fit. I have my battery charger, spare batteries, spare flash memory also inside the case with me. Best of all, it attaches securely via a closed loop to your belt, allows you to put your hand thru the wrist strap, open the case, remove the camera, turn it on, shoot, turn it off, and put it back, all with one hand in seconds. series or any of the Canon G series, or similar size camers, with some room for accessories. Mine is the Steel colored one (blue grey)Īs to the features that I prefer, this hip case allows comfortable (but not excessive) fit of my G1X, and will also easily hold all of the other newer G1. I don't know if the original Venturesafe 100 is available anywhere else, except here:īut, this is the exact description of the case that I own. I wasn't interested in one with that feature at the time, anyway. The original does not have the Gll ending for the model name. They make back packs, luggage, and a wide variety of other cases, besides those for electronic gear, such as for cameras.Īs to the Venturesafe 100 case, it has been updated since I bought mine to include a shoulder strap, with the addition of Gll in the model name. If you want extremely high quality, lifetime durability, and loaded with features, then you certainly should consider the Packsafe product line. I have the Packsafe Venturesafe 100 hip case that I purchased for my Canon G1X.
